The depth of my spirit astounds me!

Action Plan:

Even though we may have different spiritual beliefs, I’m sure most of us believe that we are so much more than our “surface” personalities; that there is something inside of us or in the universe that is greater than our “human-ness.” You might call it: the holy spirit, your soul, your inner knowing, the universe, your best self, or something else. I think the most all-encompassing term is spirit. I love this excerpt from Robert Brezny that sums up this idea:

“You are a shimmering burst of spiral hallelujahs that has temporarily taken on

the form of a human being, agreeing to endure amnesia about your true origins.”

Today, I want you to check in with your spirit by doing a short meditation. It’s a good idea to set an intention before you start. Try something like, “Spirit, what do you want me to know?” or “I just want to hang out with and feel more connected to spirit.”

  • Get in a comfortable position and close your eyes.

  • Ground yourself by imagining roots growing out of the souls of your feet until they reach the core of the earth.

  • Visualize a blue or purple ball of energy in the center of your forehead, between your eyebrows. Imagine the ball expanding until it streams out through the centre of your forehead. If thoughts arise, just let them rise and fall as they occur and continue to redirect your focus on the ball of energy.

  • When you feel centered, state your intention (either vocally or internally).

  • You might see images or colors or suddenly feel or simply know something.

  • Feelings from your spirit will always be loving and peaceful. If you feel anything that doesn’t feel loving, just let it rise and fall.

  • If you don’t experience anything, that’s ok too. Sometimes it takes a while to get connected; or maybe she doesn’t have anything to share today.

  • Always close with gratitude – thanking your spirit for the love and joy in your life.

Spiral level: Not too Bad, actually, Pretty Darn Good, Great

Use when feeling: accepting, inspired, connected
