Affirmation:


I am worthy of all of the good things in my life … and more!


Action Plan:


I’ve never been one who covets a lot of “things.” I don’t care about designer clothes or expensive cars and things like that. Someone once asked me to list my favorite things, and they were all experienced based (getting caught up in an incredible play, listening to my son laugh, reading at a window while it’s raining…).


So, recently, we moved into a new house and we’ve been buying a lot of things to decorate and organize. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love for my house to look beautiful and feel comfortable, so I was all over buying new things to make it look and feel the way I wanted. But yesterday, as I was standing in the super cool Ikea closet we had installed, which, let’s face it, was largely for me, I noticed these feelings of unworthiness. I realized that I didn’t have any trouble spending money when it was for everyone else in the house, but if it was for me, I didn’t feel like I deserved it.


So, I decided to read some of my own affirmations and take my own damn advice. So, if you have ever had those feelings, here’s my summary on the subject:


Be Grateful – Don’t squander this miraculous moment when you have been given something that is amazing! Be grateful for it. Enjoy it! Love it!

Be Kind to yourself – If you just read that and started to judge yourself for not being grateful, knock that shit off! Don’t judge yourself for feeling this way. And don’t judge yourself for judging yourself. Stop the judging!

Be your own best friend – If a friend came to you and said they felt unworthy, you’d love on them and tell them how exceptionally worthy they are. If you feel it for others, why wouldn’t you feel it for yourself? Love on yourself for a while!
